The Umauma Experience

The Umauma Falls Zipline Experience (4) line Zipline Experience will allow you to zip up to one mile with spectacular zipping through paradise, over many waterfalls and ocean views. This experience is fantastic. It is a thrill, it is fun, it is a feast for the eyes and soul.

If you love waterfalls then this is a must! At line # 2 you get to race your partner down our 1700' dual line , you will have time to view the beautiful scenery which includes a view of a 100 foot waterfall as you look toward the top of Mount Mauna Kea on this . On line #4 you will zip over 2200 feet of river water and many falls. Wow! This is so amazing you will pinch yourself that you are actually here.

The best 90 minutes of your vacation begins by zipping up to 65 miles per hour on 9 longlines, over 14 rushing waterfalls, suspension bridges, and treetops. Ages 4 and up will experience exhilarating panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean in this one-of-a-kind tour.

The Big Island’s Umauma Falls zipline has nine (9) long lines with 2 MILES of spectacular ziping, over 14 waterfalls and great ocean views. The first four lines are exciting long dual lines.

If you love waterfalls like we do, this Big Island zipline is what you’re looking for! It has been said by many people who have toured other ziplines that “this is the best zipline on all the Hawaiian Islands.” The Umauma Falls zipline is probably why you came to the Big Island of Hawaii, even if you don’t know it yet.

At line #2, you will have time to view the beautiful scenery which includes a view of a 100 foot waterfall as you look toward the top of Mauna Kea. Most people who live on the Big Island of Hawaii have never seen this beautiful waterfall. You also visit a shelter that overlooks the river as another river joins the mighty UMAUMA. Keep an eye out for the native Hawaiian hawk (I‘o) that lives in this area. On line #4 you will zip over 2000 feet of river water and many falls. This is so amazing you will pinch yourself that you are actually here.

Cross a 200' suspension bridge that takes you 100' over a water filled lava tube and fern grotto to get to line #5. You will get a close up view of the dual waterfall part of the famous UMAUMA FALLS at the end of line #7. You also get to view the FAMOUS FALLS from a special shelter for zipline guests only.

Finally. line #9 sends you back to where you started at the visitors center.

Hawaii Island’s best zipline has added another thrilling, fun-filled adventure for the whole family to enjoy. Take in the beautiful views of Umauma and the Hamakua Coast that you can only experience while riding one of our many all-terrain-vehicles. Choose between our automatic, 4×4 ATVs or our Side x Side UTVs (2 & 4-seat). Get down and dirty as our trained guides lead you along our course with stunning panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean, breathtaking stops to view the Umauma River and Waterfall, and a journey through a Hawaiian guava grove.

There is no better way to enjoy miles and miles of mud-throwing excitement than our Deluxe ATV Tour. This tour takes you along a private, 5.5 mile course, with plenty of opportunities to take photos of our beautiful waterfalls and tropical scenery, as well as a 45 minute break at our private waterfall and pond where a light local snack is provided. Feel free to take a dip and cool off! All of our tours end at “The Pit” where we allow you and your crew, as well as all the new friends you made as you rode along together, to enjoy a fun group ride around the mound before returning to base. Umauma Waterfall Rappel & River Tours

Want an extreme river adventure? Take a leap and rappel down a waterfall into the beautiful Umauma River. Afterwards, go for a swim or float, hike the valley, or just relax and enjoy Big Island’s natural beauty.

Make memories that will last a lifetime as you experience the coolest adventure in Hawaii. Start your rappel experience by rappelling 250 feet into the Umauma valley. The last 20 feet is a cave, so you will free rappel right into the Umauma River. But don’t worry, you will be fully equipped with a wetsuit, tobbies and all the necessary top of the line rappelling safety gear. Once you enter the river, you will relax as you float down the Umauma river to a 100 year old flume dam. This dam was made in 1910 and is still perfectly in-tact today. It’s level surface makes for an infinity pool like experience in the river! Next, you will boulder down a short distance to a natural stone slide formation where you will slide right into a large pool. On this tour, you will rappel down two waterfalls and even end with a jump (optional) at our private pond.

This tour will last approximately three and a half (3.5) hours

Spend a few hours relaxing luxuriating in a private area of the Umauma River. Swim, kayak, stand up paddleboard or just relax and enjoy the scenery with your friends and family. A delicious catered lunch is provided in our secluded pavilion.

Treat yourself to an afternoon unique only to the Big Island, with a swimming and kayaking experience in a private section of Umauma Falls. This respite from the day’s hustle and bustle allow you to jump into the splashing falls, swim in its cool waters and/or kayak on its clear surface. The scenery is so lush and breathtaking that it even served as the backdrop for an episode of ABC Network’s “The Bachelorette.”

Also enjoy a catered lunch at the private pavilion adjacent to the falls, delivered to you by our utility zipline. Dine and relax surrounded by the splendor of the waterfalls and gorgeous tropical setting.
